GIR/DAM/ClubFR DD25

Well it's the day after this amazing two day event, and I'm a little sore and a very sunburnt, but overall not a whole lot worse for wear. The first day was the choice of the two, with sunny weather all day long, see aforementioned sunburn. I was a flagger nearly all day long on the first turn, that gave me an excellent view of all the competitors doing their thing. I'd like to thank Danger Dan of Control Freaks for the ride along at the end of the day, it made my weekend worth while. The second day consisted of some more practice in the morning, and qualifying/competition rounds in the afternoon. I was pumped when I found out that I got to be the starter for the day. It's one of the best positions to be had for the track volunteers. The morning practice rounds went off mostly without a hitch, but after lunch the weather started to turn and the competition rounds were either in the rain or on a very damp track. I also really enjoyed meeting all the drivers on Saturday as they came through the starting grid, all of them were really nice and epitomized what it is to be a grassroots drifter.
